RARE Black Forest Bear Sewing Companion

Super rare "Black Forest" bear sewing companion. He is holding a pin cushion in one paw and a thimble rest in the other with a brass thimble. He's standing on a reel holder with 5 brass pins for storing cotton reels. The thimble which is probably not original is quite dented but otherwise the bear is in superb condition. He stands 6 3/4" tall overall and dates to around 1900....

Unusual Steel Pin Wheel

Very unusual pin cushion of disc form. It's made of finely worked cut steel, possibly Italian or French in origin, and probably dating to the late 18th century. I don't think it started life as a pincushion in it's present form but has definitely been like this for more than 100 years, judging by the fabric of the cushion. The reverse is plain fabric. A rare and very beautiful item. Measures 2" in diameter. Superb condition....
